The first misuse of technology had been in the field of nuclear weapons and in WoMD : Weapons of mass destruction. Social-networking has long replaced outdoor sports and computer games have now become the only indoor game at disposal. Lethargy has crept into the lives of people as they have become addicted to the comforts of technology. Nuclear energy is one which has pros as well as cons. Just remember what do occur when the electricity is off, and how you suffer then from lack of light, lack of warming or air conditioning, lack of entertainment and sometimes lack of computer facilities. I am not there yet personally, as I noted, but I find this reaction interesting. People don't have to learn knowledge from the school as before. But it is absolutely unacceptable to claim that technology creates more problems than it solve it, or to claim that the net effect of technology is negative. The last century experienced humongous developments in various technological fronts varying from health-care to nuclear-power.
